| Zawodowo związany z Uniwersytetem Mikołaja Kopernika w Toruniu już od czasu studiów. W latach 1991–2016 pracował na Wydziale Biologii i Nauk o Ziemi oraz Wydziale Biologii i Ochrony Środowiska. Pełnił tam w latach 1997–2016 funkcję Kierownika Wydziałowego Muzeum Przyrodniczego. Obecnie pracuje na etacie profesorskim na Wydziale Sztuk Pięknych UMK w Katedrze Konserwacji-Restauracji Sztuki Nowoczesnej i Współczesnej. Pełni także funkcję kierownika Pracowni Fotograficznej w Centrum Badań i Konserwacji Dziedzictwa Kulturowego UMK. W swojej pracy stara się połączyć naukę (doktorat z nauk biologicznych) i sztukę (habilitacja z dziedziny sztuk filmowych). Jest członkiem Związku Polskich Artystów Fotografików. Uczestniczył w wielu wystawach zbiorowych i stworzył wiele indywidualnych wystaw fotograficznych. Pomysłodawca i dyrektor Międzynarodowego Festiwalu Sztuk Wizualnych Inspirowanych Naturą „Sztuka Natury”. |
| Professionally associated with the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń as far back as his studies. In the years 1991–2016, he worked at the Faculty of Biology and Earth Sciences and the Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection. Between 1997 and 2016, he was holding a position of the director of the Museum of Natural History. At present, he works as a professor at the Department of Conservation-Restoration of Modern and Contemporary Art in the Faculty of Fine Arts at NCU. He also holds the position of the head of the Photographic Studio at the Centre for Research and Conservation of Cultural Heritage at NCU. In his work, he seeks to combine science (doctorate in Biology Sciences) with art (habilitation in the field of Film Arts). He is a member of the Association of Polish Art Photographers. He has participated in numerous collective exhibitions and created multiple individual photographic exhibitions. Originator of the International Festival of Visual Arts Inspired by Nature “The Art of Nature”. |
